District Heating Systems

District heating is a system for distributing heat from one central location to multiple buildings or dwellings, via an underground network of well-insulated pipes.

Each building has its own Heat Interface Unit (HIU), which allows the same level of control over the buildings’ heat and hot water levels as with a traditional boiler system.

District Heating Systems

District heating systems can be connected to a variety of different heat sources such as: Biomass Boilers, Waste to Energy Systems, waste heat and Heat Pumps. We use polymer district heating pipes as opposed to steel pipes as they offer greater flexibility and significant installation cost savings.

  • By fully utilising the heat you’re generating, you’ll achieve a greater income via the government’s Renewable Heat Incentive (RHI) and you’ll see a rapid return on your investment.
  • You could become an energy provider for local residents or companies, increase your income and reduce their energy costs.
  • District heating systems are flexible and future-proofed, they can be connected to any fuel source.
  • They are environmentally-friendly and significantly reduce carbon emissions.
